@neongreenninjacat5 He wasn't just gay, but he was battling aids, and eventually perished from it. I'm almost certain this song was created to support an AIDS fund of some sort. Cause if you plug the AIDS problem into the song, the words match perfectly to the epidemic AIDS was in the 80's and 90's. May he be the foothills of the Mountain all AIDS victims will conquer in this never ending battle.
