@WTF7176 Lots of rugby players (Martin Johnson and Martin Offiah to name two) love AF. They've stated when asked that the pads are needed as in AF you hit i.e. lead with head and shoulder barge which is illegal in rugby as you tackle by wrapping up. Try AF before commenting, you'll find that the pads are need. In the 40's when they didnt wear pads there was loads of deaths. Remember the ball is passed forward in AF which speeds the running up - people running faster into each other = ouch!

@evillutionskate Football evolved from Rugby in which the full name is Rugby Football, they thus took the football name - as did Australians with Aussie Rules football. |
