Read the Mabinogion, its a collection of traditional folktales and mythological yarns from Wales. As for a taste of modern Wales, best way is to just go there!

I saw on Craigslist the listing of apartments for rent. I was amazed to see how inexpensive it is to rent a place in Cardiff. It would be nice to live there for a while. It does seem a bit different culturally from England and Scotland. I'd like to learn more about Wales. Any recommendations?
